KTR Targets Tejasvi Surya Over Telangana Remark

K. T. Rama Rao has strongly criticised BJP MP Tejasvi Surya for allegedly comparing the formation of Telangana with the Partition of India.

Calling the remarks unacceptable, KTR demanded an unconditional apology from the BJP leader.

‘Insult to Telangana Sentiment’

KTR expressed anger over the statement, stating that equating Telangana’s formation with a historic tragedy like Partition of India is deeply hurtful to the people of the state.

He accused BJP leaders of repeatedly showing hostility towards Telangana.

Sharp Attack on BJP

The BRS leader alleged that the BJP has “anti-Telangana sentiment in its DNA” and claimed that the party is compromising the state’s self-respect for political gains in Delhi.

He further said that Telangana is closely observing how its interests are being treated at the national level.

Silence of Telangana BJP MPs Questioned

KTR also questioned the silence of BJP MPs from Telangana present during the alleged remarks.

He termed their inaction as “shameful” and criticised them for not defending the dignity of the state.

Political Row Intensifies

The controversy has sparked a fresh political confrontation between the BRS and BJP, with the issue likely to escalate further in the coming days.

No official response from Tejasvi Surya has been reported so far regarding the demand for an apology.
