One of the major highlights of the visit will be the inauguration of the Bharat Innovates initiative alongside French President Emmanuel Macron. PM Modi Slovakia Visit to Open New Areas of Cooperation
Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to hold meetings with Slovakian President Peter Pellegrini and Prime Minister Robert Fico in Bratislava. The discussions are expected to focus on expanding economic cooperation and identifying new areas for strategic collaboration.
India and Slovakia have witnessed steady growth in bilateral trade in recent years, with commerce between the two countries crossing 1.8 billion US dollars. After concluding his Slovakia visit, Prime Minister Modi will travel to Evian, France, where he will participate in the G7 Summit on June 16 and 17. This marks the eighth consecutive G7 Summit to which India has been invited, reflecting the country’s growing influence in global affairs.
At the summit, discussions are expected to focus on economic growth, global security, technology, climate challenges, supply chains, and sustainable development. India’s participation is likely to highlight its role as a major voice of the Global South and one of the world’s fastest-growing economies.
The Prime Minister will conclude his visit in Paris by attending VivaTech 2026 alongside President Emmanuel Macron. The event is among Europe’s leading technology and innovation gatherings and is expected to showcase India’s growing role in the global digital economy.
