Two Gang Members Arrested
Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh: Ghaziabad Police has arrested two members of a six-man gang accused of robbing an ATM cash van of ₹27 lakh in the Crossing Republik area.
The robbery had reportedly been planned over a period of nearly five months.
Main Accused Still Absconding
Police said the alleged gang leader, identified as Zubair, remains absconding, while efforts are underway to trace the remaining accused linked to the case.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Muhammad Rizwan, an LLB student, and Muhammad Kaif.
Police said the Ghaziabad ATM van robbery was carefully planned over several months before the gang allegedly carried out the cash heist in Crossing Republik.
Cash, Weapons and Vehicle Recovered
During the operation, police recovered:
- ₹8 lakh in cash
- a getaway vehicle
- pistols
- an axe allegedly used to damage CCTV cameras
Officials stated that the accused used the axe to smash surveillance cameras during the robbery.

Van Abandoned After Incident
According to investigators, the gang abandoned the cash van on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway after an alleged shootout involving the security guard accompanying the vehicle.
Police teams later traced evidence linked to the robbery through surveillance inputs and technical investigation.
Investigation Continues
Authorities said further investigation is underway to identify and arrest the remaining gang members and recover the remaining stolen amount.
