The NEET Paper Leak issue continued to dominate Parliament on Tuesday as Opposition parties rejected the Centre’s proposal for a discussion on the controversy, insisting that Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan must resign before any debate takes place. He appealed to Opposition parties to allow Parliament to function normally, stating that issues affecting students and the education system should be debated inside the House through constructive discussion rather than repeated disruptions. According to the government, Parliament remains the appropriate forum to examine the controversy and present the actions taken so far.
Opposition Stands Firm on Minister’s Resignation
Opposition leaders refused to accept the government’s proposal, arguing that any discussion would be meaningless unless the Education Minister first accepted responsibility for the alleged irregularities by stepping down.
