Kolkata, West Bengal: Abhishek Banerjee on Tuesday alleged serious irregularities in the voter list, claiming that names of long-time residents have been removed despite submission of valid documents.

🗣️ Allegations of Voter Exclusion

Addressing a gathering, Banerjee said that individuals who have been residing in the state for decades—some for over 100 to 200 years—have found their names missing from the voter rolls.

“We are saying that those who have been living here for years… have suddenly had their names removed after being called for hearings, even after submitting all required documents,” he said.

⚠️ Political Warning

The TMC leader asserted that attempts to exert pressure or influence the electoral process would not succeed.

“No matter how much power you try to exert, nothing can stand against the strength of the people,” he added.

🗳️ Confident of Victory

Expressing confidence ahead of the elections, Banerjee said that the Trinamool Congress would emerge victorious and ensure that all eligible voters are included.

“The Trinamool Congress will win, and everyone’s names will be included,” he stated.

📊 Election Context

The remarks come amid rising political tensions in West Bengal, with voter list accuracy and electoral fairness becoming key issues in the run-up to polls.

🧩 Conclusion

The allegations are likely to intensify the political debate over electoral processes in the state, as parties continue to raise concerns ahead of voting.
