Mandya Man Hacked to Death
Mandya man hacked to death after unidentified assailants allegedly attacked a 29-year-old man with sharp weapons in Karnataka’s Mandya district.
The victim, identified as Sunil, was a resident of Chunchagahalli village.
According to police sources, Sunil was travelling on a motorcycle with three friends after allegedly consuming alcohol when the incident took place near Honnalagere village.
Attackers Intercepted the Group
Police said a car carrying the unidentified attackers intercepted the motorcycle before the assault began.
The assailants allegedly attacked Sunil using sharp weapons, leaving him critically injured on the roadside.
The Mandya man hacked to death incident created panic in the area as locals gathered near the crime scene shortly after the attack.
Victim Died on the Way to Hospital
Sunil sustained severe injuries and died while being shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Two others travelling with him, identified as Satish and Siddaraju, escaped unhurt during the incident.
Police have not yet confirmed the motive behind the murder.
Police Launch Investigation
Senior police officials, including the Superintendent of Police, visited the spot and inspected the scene following the attack.
Authorities said forensic teams may also examine the location as part of the ongoing investigation.
A murder case has been registered at Maddur Police Station, and efforts are underway to identify and trace the accused persons involved in the killing.
