Divya Suresh Harassment Case: Actress Alleges Man Followed Her and Cousin

In her social media post, Divya stated that she and her cousin immediately noticed the man’s behaviour and confronted him. However, she alleged that he continued following them until they managed to enter their vehicle.
Tonight, my cousin and I were walking to our car at around 11.30 pm when a man started following us. While following us, he was openly touching himself. We noticed it immediately and called him out, but he still didn’t stop. He continued until we got into our car,” she wrote.
She further said that no woman should have to experience such harassment simply because she is walking at night.
Tagging the Bengaluru Police, Divya questioned the city’s safety measures, asking, “Where is the safety we keep being promised?”
Video Shared on Instagram Captured the Alleged Incident
Divya also uploaded a video on her Instagram Story documenting the alleged incident. Although the Story has since expired, the video reportedly showed her recording the man while her cousin pointed towards him and highlighted his behaviour.
In the footage, Divya can be heard saying that she was documenting the incident, while her cousin urged her to observe the man’s actions. According to the actress, the individual allegedly continued following them until they entered their vehicle.
She also claimed that the man remained near their car even after they locked themselves inside, prompting her cousin to suggest contacting the police.
As of now, Bengaluru Police have not issued any official statement regarding the allegations or confirmed whether a formal complaint has been registered.

The actress’s social media post received attention online, with many users expressing concern over the alleged incident and calling for stronger policing and quicker action against harassment in public places.
The case also highlights the growing role of social media in bringing alleged incidents of harassment into the public domain, especially when victims seek immediate attention from authorities by tagging official police handles.
Whether the matter progresses into a formal police investigation will likely depend on the filing of an official complaint and the availability of evidence, including any video recordings or CCTV footage from the area.
