TCS Responds to Nashik Allegations
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has issued a detailed statement addressing serious allegations linked to its Nashik unit, asserting that no complaints were received through its official ethics or POSH channels.
The company’s response comes after multiple FIRs were filed alleging sexual harassment, assault, and religious coercion at the workplace.
9 FIRs Filed Over Serious Allegations
According to reports, a total of nine FIRs have been registered based on complaints from nine employees — including eight women — accusing colleagues and certain HR-linked personnel of misconduct over a period of four years.
The allegations include claims of sexual violence, harassment, and forced religious conversion.
Independent Investigation Initiated
TCS CEO and MD K. Krithivasan confirmed that the company has initiated an internal investigation with independent oversight.
Key steps announced include:
- Engagement of independent experts from Deloitte and law firm Trilegal
- Formation of an oversight committee led by Keki Mistry
- Investigation supervised by Aarthi Subramanian
The findings will be reviewed before any further action is taken.
Clarification on Accused Employee
TCS also addressed reports surrounding Nida Khan, stating that she was not an HR manager or part of recruitment processes, but a process associate without leadership responsibilities.
Company Denies Shutdown Claims
The company clarified that its Nashik unit continues to function normally and dismissed reports suggesting that operations had been shut down.
Zero-Tolerance Policy Reiterated
TCS emphasised its commitment to employee safety and dignity, reiterating a zero-tolerance stance on misconduct.
The company added that it is cooperating fully with law enforcement agencies to ensure a transparent and thorough investigation.
