Singer Mangli Approaches Police with Serious Allegations

Folk singer Mangli has approached the police in Hyderabad, alleging criminal intimidation, abuse, and extortion against an individual identified as Singapogu Subbu.

The complaint was filed at the Panjagutta Police Station, bringing the matter into public focus.

Alleged Extortion and Threats

According to Mangli’s complaint, the incident took place on March 22 at around 4 pm when she visited an advocate’s office.

She alleged that Subbu, along with three others, falsely introduced himself as an advocate and behaved inappropriately. The singer claimed that he demanded ₹10 lakh, stating he would remove certain videos related to her from platforms like YouTube and Instagram.

Abuse and Criminal Intimidation

Mangli further alleged that when she refused to pay the amount, the accused and his associates used abusive language and threatened to damage her reputation through media and social platforms.

She described the incident as a case of criminal intimidation, harassment, and attempted extortion, urging police authorities to take strict legal action.

Counter-Complaint Alleges ₹10 Crore Fraud

In a parallel development, a counter-complaint has also surfaced against Mangli. An advocate, identified as Subba Rao, has reportedly accused the singer of cheating to the tune of ₹10 crore.

The complaint alleges that the fraud was carried out under the guise of microfinance activities.

Police Investigation Likely

With allegations and counter-allegations emerging from both sides, the case is expected to be investigated thoroughly by the police.

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the matter, as both complaints are being examined.
