Delhi Police Intensifies Action Against Harassment in Public Spaces

In a strong move to ensure public safety and discipline, the district’s Shistachar Squad carried out intensive drives targeting harassment, eve-teasing, and anti-social activities across key areas of Delhi.

The operation focused on maintaining a safe and respectful environment, especially in crowded public spaces where such incidents are more likely to occur.

20 Individuals Detained in Targeted Operation

During the drive, a total of 20 individuals were detained under Section 65 of the Delhi Police Act. The action was carried out in the areas of Kishangarh and Delhi Cantonment, which were identified as sensitive zones for such activities.

Officials stated that the detained individuals were found engaging in behavior that disturbed public order and safety.

Zero Tolerance Towards Eve-Teasing

The Shistachar Squad, known for its proactive role in curbing harassment, reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards eve-teasing and misconduct in public areas.

The team conducted surprise checks, increased patrolling, and closely monitored hotspots to prevent any untoward incidents.

Ensuring Safety, Discipline & Respect

Delhi Police emphasized that such drives are part of a broader initiative to promote safety, discipline, and mutual respect among citizens.

Authorities have urged the public to cooperate with law enforcement and report any instances of harassment or suspicious behavior.

Continued Vigilance Across the City

Officials confirmed that similar drives will continue across different parts of the city to maintain law and order and ensure a secure environment for all, especially women.
