Amit Shah Praises BSF at Prahari Conference

Addressing BSF personnel at Sanchu post near Bikaner, the Home Minister credited the force for its role in Operation Sindoor and called for a coordinated grid of BSF, Army, administration, and citizens to fully secure India’s borders.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday praised the Border Security Force (BSF) for its exemplary role during Operation Sindoor, saying the force not only guarded the border firmly but also boosted the morale of citizens living in frontier districts. He was addressing the Prahari Conference at the BSF’s Sanchu post near Bikaner, Rajasthan.

A FOUR-PRONGED GRID FOR BORDER SECURITY

Shah stressed the need to create a four-pronged security grid comprising the BSF, the Indian Army, district administration, and vigilant citizens to make India’s border security completely impenetrable. He said that with this coordinated grid in place, any threat emerging along the border can be countered with full strength and swift response.

BORDER VILLAGES AT THE HEART OF SECURITY

The Home Minister underlined the critical role of border villages and their residents in national security, emphasising that all government welfare schemes must be implemented effectively in these villages. He said that empowering border communities is not just a social obligation but a strategic necessity as alert and well-supported citizens form the last line of community-level intelligence and vigilance.

INDIA’S SECURITY FRAMEWORK TRANSFORMED UNDER MODI GOVERNMENT

Shah said that India’s security framework has undergone a major transformation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government. He highlighted that the armed forces and paramilitary forces have been significantly modernised, and that a tough, zero-tolerance stance has been consistently maintained against terrorism.

MORALE BOOST AND NEW BARRACKS INAUGURATED

Before addressing the conference, the Home Minister personally interacted with BSF personnel deployed along the border, appreciating their contribution to national security and boosting their morale. On the occasion, he also virtually inaugurated 14 newly constructed women’s barracks at border outposts a move aimed at improving living conditions and facilities for women personnel serving in challenging frontier postings.Addressing BSF personnel at Sanchu post near Bikaner, the Home Minister credited the force for its role in Operation Sindoor and called for a coordinated grid of BSF, Army, administration, and citizens to fully secure India’s borders.
