Jammu: Omar Abdullah on Tuesday assured that the government will carry out a transparent recruitment process while filling thousands of vacancies across Jammu and Kashmir.

🏛️ 25,000 Jobs Targeted This Year

Responding to a question raised by Waheed-ur-Rehman Para, the Chief Minister said that around 25,000 vacancies are planned to be filled during the current year.

⚖️ Focus on Transparency

Abdullah emphasized that the recruitment process must be both transparent and legally sound.

“The issue of recruitment has already been discussed in detail during this session. We all want the process to be transparent and time-bound,” he said.

⏳ Warning Against Rushed Hiring

He also cautioned against rushing the process just to meet deadlines, highlighting the risk of legal complications.

“Time-bound should not mean rushing matters and ending up in court the next day,” Abdullah added.

📊 Employment Context

The announcement is significant for job seekers in Jammu and Kashmir, where government recruitment drives are closely watched due to high demand for public sector employment.

🧩 Conclusion

The government’s approach aims to balance speed with transparency, ensuring that recruitment is completed efficiently while avoiding legal hurdles.
