New Delhi: The Delhi Police (North-West District) has announced comprehensive security and traffic arrangements for the upcoming Hanuman Jayanti celebrations on April 2, 2026, with a strong focus on maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety.
According to officials, multi-layered security deployment will be in place across sensitive areas, particularly in Jahangirpuri, which has been identified for heightened monitoring. Authorities have designated a specific route for the Shobha Yatra, which will be strictly regulated to prevent any disruptions.
In a key measure, the number of participants allowed in the procession has been capped at 500. Police have also imposed a complete ban on carrying weapons, raising provocative slogans, or bringing any unauthorized items during the event.

To strengthen surveillance, CCTV cameras and drone monitoring will be deployed along the procession route. Traffic diversions will be implemented in coordination with multiple civic and enforcement agencies to manage vehicular movement and avoid congestion in the area.
Delhi Police has urged citizens to cooperate with authorities, adhere to the issued advisories, and contribute to maintaining peace and communal harmony during the celebrations.
Officials emphasized that strict action will be taken against any violations, reiterating their commitment to ensuring a safe and peaceful Hanuman Jayanti across the district.
